Peter is the man behind award-winning Victoria Gin. He was our Master Distiller from 2008 through 2016 and now focuses on distribution in his new role as President. His background is in molecular biology and genetics, with a healthy dose of bartending, international development work, and photography. Like those photos on our Instagram? They’re probably his. Peter’s favourite cocktail is the DV 15.
Our resident Scotsman! With a Master’s degree in Brewing & Distilling from Heriot-Watt University, Leon assisted start-up distilleries in Scotland to create gin recipes, distillation methodologies and optimise spirits. Leon also brings experience with green energy schemes and sustainable distilling. His passion for whisky has his nose to the cask and hands on the reigns of our developing Craigdarroch Whisky. Leon loves a Butchart Garden.
Phil has been making Victoria Gin with the distillery since 2010. Before his foray into the world of premium spirits, Phil worked as a cook and chef for over two decades. His culinary background is accompanied by a refined palate – ever an asset to the team. When not at work, find him watching hockey and sipping an Oaken Martinez.

Not only Peter’s sister, Mia manages Victoria Gin’s national marketing and PR. With a background in design, she crafts our visual communications, and with a PhD, she is no slouch when it comes to wordsmithing. Find her voice on our Twitter feed. Along his circuitous path from the Rockies to the Kootenays, the Thompson Okanagan, Vancouver, and Whistler, Dave has amassed a wealth of experience in tourism and hospitality. He spent years as a bartending, honing his mixology skills and love of fine spirits. New to distilling, he’s thrilled to be learning from a talented and passionate team.
