Kyle Hall of Haro’s in Sidney created this tropical treat in celebration of Rio 2016.  “É minha praia” translates as “That’s my beach”, the Brazilian equivalent of “Just my cup of tea.”

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Victoria Gin
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 2 oz Papaya puree
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 dash Twisted & Bitter Orange Bitters
  • Garnish Lime wheel

Method

Cut half lime into four pieces. Muddle ingredients in shaker.  Add ice and shake.  Strain into a highball glass. Add crushed ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

*For the papaya purée, you can blend fresh papaya with a little simple syrup to create smooth consistency, or use store-bought fresh papaya juice.
