Smelly, shrivelled, cloudy cubes in your ice trays? We’ve been there. Great ice is essential for great cocktails. Here are some tips to make your ice better:
- If you filter your water, use that water
- Boil the water
- Let it cool
- If you have time, boil it and let it cool again!
- Pour the water in your ice cube tray
- When the ice is frozen, transfer your cubes to a freezer bag instead of storing it in the tray.
Boiling reduces the air and impurities that make your cubes cloudier. Keeping it in freezer bags keeps the ambient freezer smell at bay and prevents evaporation.
