Simple syrup is just that: simple! Combine equal parts water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat. Boil gently for a few minutes and until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool. Syrup will keep refrigerated in an air-tight container for a couple of months.
For a slightly less simple option, infuse your syrup with tea or herbs.
It should be noted that some barkeeps use two sugar to one water for a thicker syrup, but one to one is fine for the cocktails on our site.
