Our talented team at the Victoria Distillers lounge created this wicked pick-me-up for the Art of Cocktail 2016 .  For its 8th year, Vancouver Island’s  largest cocktail festival is bringing out the maracas for a 1950s Cuban theme.  We are shaking things up accordingly!

For this smooth concoction, we reimagined The Shaft cocktail using our buttery Oaken Gin.  The Caribbean flair  in the drink comes with the Falernum, a sweet syrup infused with almond, ginger, cloves, lime, and spice.  Aren’t you warming up, just thinking about it?!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Oaken Gin
  • 1 1/2 oz Falernum
  • 1 1/2 oz Cold Brewed Coffee
  • A few Coffee Beans

Method

Combine ingredients with ice in a shakerShake and strain into a glass.  Garnish with a few coffee beans.
