Created with love at Chill Winston, this lip-smacking gem has already become a ritual for scores of Vancouverites.  Can’t get there?  We are delighted to share the recipe with you here.



  • 1 1/2 oz Victoria Gin
  • 1/2 oz Aperol
  • 3/4 oz Pink Flamingo Grapefruit Syrup by David's Tea
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 2 dashes Peach Bitters
  • 1 wedge Pink Grapefruit
  • For Syrup:
  • 200 ml Sugar
  • 200 ml Water
  • 2 tsp Grapefruit tea


Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice.  Shake well.  Strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge and a toothpick.

*Create your own grapefruit tea syrup by combining equal parts water and sugar in a small saucepan. Add a tsp of loose tea (or a tea bag) for every 100ml water or so. Heat over medium-high heat. Gently bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes. Let cool. Strain out leaves.
